Dear Speakers,
on this page you will find some useful information regarding your in-person or remote participation in Port&ShippingTech, Main Conference of Naples Shipping Week, scheduled for October 3rd – 4th 2024. The event will take place in Naples at the Convention Center Stazione Marittima and will be web streamed.
Speech
Speech type and length
– Speeches can be of three types.
– Institutional speeches are generally short and scheduled at the beginning or at the end of the session.
– Round tables are panel discussions starting from one or more questions that the chairman asks the participants. Presentations should not be provided.
– All other speeches are 10 minutes long and, in these cases, speakers are allowed to use a Power Point or PDF presentation. For more information on the presentation, please see the “Presentation” section below.
– It is strongly recommended to comply with the agreed time frames to give all the speakers the opportunity to present their contents.
Presentation
– If the speaker decides to use a Power point / PDF presentation, a maximum of 10 slides is recommended.
– For the best slide projection during the event, we recommend setting your presentation up for 16:9 – 1920×1080 format.

– For more details on remote presentation, we ask you to see the “Remote participation” section below.
– Please, send the presentation as a Power Point or PDF file by September 30th, for backup purposes. Any video embedded in the presentation must be sent as a separate downloadable file.
– We kindly ask the Speakers who will physically be present at the event to bring their presentation on a USB pen drive anyway. Those who will attend in person and will not send the presentation by the aforementioned date will necessarily have to bring the material on a USB pen drive.
– The presentations will be published on the event website as Conference Proceedings. If you do not want your presentation to be published or if you wish to provide a different version from the one used during the event, please inform the Organizing Secretariat by October 8th.
In-person participation
– The event will take place at the Convention Center Stazione Marittima Napoli, Stazione Marittima Molo Angioino, 80133 Naples.
– It is strongly recommended to arrive at the location of the event at least 30 minutes before the session starts.
– We kindly ask you to bring your presentation on a USB pen drive.
Remote participation
– The video conferencing platform that will be used for the event is Zoom.

– Speakers will receive the link to the Zoom meeting by the day before their speech.
– On the day of the event speakers should join the Zoom meeting via the link received about 20/30 minutes before the session starts to enable staff to test the connection.
– Speakers can independently project and control the progression of the slides using the Zoom screen sharing function.
– For an optimal remote connection, we recommend the use of a headset with microphone to improve audio quality and reduce background noise.
Video recordings of conferences
– The event will be recorded. Participating implies giving permission for the recording.
– The recordings of the sessions will be available after the event in the Replay section of the website.
– The recordings of the individual speeches will be available only for the speakers of the sponsoring companies.
